The All Progressive Congress (APC) has appointed Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello as Chairman of its mobilisation and sensitisation committee as part of the party’s preparation for revalidation and registration of its old and intending members.
The Governor while addressing the press at the party secretariat in Abuja after his announcement noted that the task given to him by the party leadership was to mobilise Youths and women as well as other well meaning Nigerians to join the ruling All Progressive Congress.
He added that the APC was a party that practices what it preached hence the party has given room for youths and women to actively participate in government with practical examples of Kogi State under his leadership.
The governor opined that the youths and women that have been given leadership roles in his administration were performing well within the frame of the available resources noting that such experience was what would be translated to the nation.
He mentioned that President Muhammadu Buhari has hinted that the next generation should get ready to take leadership while he has also provided the enabling opportunity to achieve this goal hence his task of mobilising these stakeholders to enable them add their voices to determine what becomes of the nation.
