Newly established Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara made history on Tuesday as academic activities formally commenced at the Biology Department.
The course named General Biology, BIO 111, became the first course to be taught to students formally by one of the staff of the university.
The Vice Chancellor (VC) of CUSTECH, Prof. Sadiku Salawu, who had made proper arrangements for commencement of academic activities and was on ground to see his plans succeed.
The Registrar, Ms Olufunke Hudson walked round the lecture rooms with the VC and other staff members to see how the students were coping with the ongoing lecture.
Other lectures will be taking place later in the day in other departments as students are already on ground and eager to start a new academic journey. On the side of CUSTECH, the lecturers are more than ready to take the new crop of students to achieve academic greatness, our reporter gathered.
